Steps to Selling Your Home
What Your Realtor Should do for You.

  1. Insure buyer selects a mortgage lender and gets pre-qualified.
  2. Negotiate an offer and terms with the selling agent to insure a swift contract.
  3. Arrive at a 'meeting of the minds.'
  4. Request swift home inspections of buyer. 
  5. Assist you in selecting an attorney. (Realtor will send all documents.)
  6. Discuss and review results of buyer's inspections.
  7. Resolve inspection contingency.
  8. Confirm completed mortgage application submission by buyer.
  9. Review your contract.
  10. Confirm signed contract and buyer's deposit.
  11. Confirm that you've signed and returned the contract to your attorney.
  12. Confirm mortgage application along with a copy of the contracts at lender. 
  13. Lender obtains underwriting and property appraisal. 
  14. Loan commitment follow-up with selling agent. 
  15. Help arrange transfer of ownership (movers, utilities, etc.)
  16. Schedule closing with your attorney.
  17. Plan final walk-through inspection with selling agent and buyer.
  18. Attend closing on your behalf.
